Mighty Goose speedrun contest

To celebrate the release of the game we are hosting a special Speedrunning contest!

MISSION BRIEFING

The time has come to show how Mighty you are! If you want to win this challenge, you have to be fast! Faster than anyone else.

We've prepared special speedrun build of the game which is available on a Steam Beta branch. This build is limited to level 2 and a segment of level 4. Bosses are included, so this challenge is not for the faint of heart.

Your mission: clear levels 2 and 4 and defeat the bosses as fast as you can!

THE RULES

There are some rules that are unique to this competition, so please read the following carefully along with the general info below.

  • Use the special speedrun build on Steam, using the regular build is not allowed.
  • All runs are in the any% category and glitches are allowed*
  • You can submit runs multiple times, assuming your latest submission has a better time than your previous
  • You may use external tools to help you keep track of times. However, times will be judged using the in game timer.
  • Tool-assisted-speedruns are not allowed.

SUBMISSIONS

To participate you have to record your best speedrun playthrough of the speedrun build, then upload it on YouTube and post your link and time on Twitter using the hashtag #mightygoosespeedrun

If possible, crop your video so that only the relevant piece of footage is uploaded. That means if your recording contains several attempts, try to crop it to just the run you are submitting.

You may use a YouTube alternative to host your video, just make sure it's internationally viewable.

JUDGING

Whoever has the fastest time wins!

DISCORD

Share runs, tips, strategies, and link speedrun streams in the #speedrunning channel of the Blastmode Discord. We're also more than happy to answer any questions you have through this channel.

GENERAL INFO

  • The contest starts June 5th 2021 10AM JST
  • The deadline for submission for all entries is June 29th 10AM JST
  • Winners will be announced via social media somewhere in July
  • Please note: Current partners, contractors, and employees of Blastmode, MP2 and AGM/Playism are not eligible for participation in this contest.

PRIZING

Prizes will be awarded to 1 Grand Prize Winner, there can only be one

  • Grand Prize: Nintendo Switch console with Mighty Goose Nintendo Switch key.

Activating the Speedrun build

The speedrun build is distributed using a Steam Beta branch. To activate the speedrun branch:

  1. Navigate to your Steam library
  2. Right click Mighty Goose and select properties
  3. In the newly opened window, navigate to BETAS
  4. Select the speedrun build from the dropdown menu
  5. Close the window and wait while steam updates the game to the speedrun version

Note: If you want to play the normal game again, you'll have to use the same dropdown and select 'none' again.

Additional info

  • Prizes shall be shipped from EU, US, Japan, China and Korea.
  • Participants must be at least 18 years of age to participate, and in regions in which parental or guardian consent is legally required to participate, any application must be submitted with said consent.
  • Further restrictions on age and region of residence are subject to the contestant's local, state, and/or national laws.
  • If laws and/or restrictions prevent the organizers to send the prize to the winner, neither AGM/Playism, Blastmode or MP2 Games shall be held responsible.

『マイティ・グース』の発売とともに、スピードラン大会を開催します！

ミッション

スピードラン大会のために、レベル2とレベル4の一部をスピードラン専用のビルドとして用意しました！もちろんボス戦もあります！専用ビルドはSteamのベータブランチで入手していただけます。

ミッション：レベル2、レベル4およびボス戦を誰よりも速くクリアせよ！

ルール

本大会にはいくつかのルールがありますので、まず下記をご確認ください：

  • 通常のビルドでの参加は認めらないので、必ずSteamのスピードラン専用ビルドを使ってください。
  • 「Any％」カテゴリーおよびバグが許可されます*
  • 以前のクリア時間さえ上回れば、何度も参加可能です。
  • どんなツールで時間の計測が可能ですが、ゲーム内タイマーの結果が最終判断の基準となります。
  • 何らかのアシストツールを使用したスピードランは認められません。

参加方法

スピードランビルドをクリアし、個人ベストを記録したプレイ動画をYouTubeに投稿し、TwitterでそのURLとクリア時間を#mightygoosespeedrunとともに投稿してください。

何回も挑戦した方は、ベストタイムを記録した動画だけを投稿してください。

YouTube以外のビデオサイトに投稿する場合は、必ず海外から視聴可能なサイトを使ってください。

判定

最も速くスピードランビルドをクリアした方が優勝者になります。

BlastmodeのDiscordの#speedrunningチャンネルにアドバイス、コツ、スピードラン動画などを共有して盛り上がりましょう！質問や不明な点があれば、ここで聞いてください！

スピードランビルドのアクセス方法

スピードランビルドはSteamのベータブランチで配布されます。下記の手順に従って起動してください：

  1. Steamライブラリーにアクセスしてください。
  2. 『マイティ・グース』を右クリックし、プロパティを選択してください。
  3. ポップアップウィンドウの「ベータ」を選択してください。
  4. ドロップダウンメニューから「speedrun build」を選択してください。
  5. ポップアップウィンドウを閉じ、スピードランビルドに切り替わったらゲームを起動してください。

通常の『マイティ・グース』に戻したければ、上記の手順に従ってドロップダウンメニューから「none」を選択してください。

注意事項：

  • 賞品はヨーロッパ、アメリカ、日本、中国または韓国から輸送されます。
  • 参加者は18歳以上の方に制限されます。また、法律上で保護者の許諾が必要とされる地域の参加者は必ず保護者の許諾をもらった上で参加してください。
  • 参加者の国・地域の法律により、上記以外の制限事項が適用されることがございます。
  • 受賞者の国・地域の法律もしくは制限により、賞品の輸送は不可能な場合がございます。その場合、AGM/PLAYISM、BlastmodeおよびMP2 Gamesは一切責任を負いかねます。

《暴走大鹅》快速通关比赛

为了庆祝《暴走大鹅》游戏正式发布，我们举办了快速通關比賽！

大赛任务

大家是时候大显身手了！如果想赢得这次比赛，只要够快，比任何人都要快就行！

我们已经特别准备了本作品的特别快速通关speedrun版本，可以在Steam Beta分支上使用。这版本只限于第二章节和第四章节的其中一部分，内含刺激的Boss战，所以胆小的朋友不适合参加本次比赛。

比赛任务：通关第二章节和第四章节并尽快打倒Boss！

参赛规则

本次比赛有一些独特的规则，因此请大家参加比赛前先事前仔细阅读以下所有细则。

  • 使用Steam上设置的特殊快速通关speedrun版本，不允许使用游戏正式版本。
  • 所有任何%类别和游戏的小Bug情况均可接受*
  • 参赛者可以多次提交申请，前提是最新提交的申请必须要比对上一次的时间要更快。
  • 参赛者可以使用外部工具来协助记录时间。但是比赛计算将以游戏中的计时器为准。
  • 不允许任何工具辅助快速通关。

*比赛大会委员将保留绝对决定权利去判断游戏的小Bug情况。

提交方法

为了参与本次比赛，参赛者必须记录下最佳快速通关speedrun版本，然后上传到YouTube/Bilibili/虎牙视频/西瓜视频等上，并设为话题方式在Twitter/微博/Bilibili上发布该链接和说明最快通关的时间 #暴走大鹅快速通关比赛(微博/Bilibili) / #mightygoosespeedrun (twitter)

如要多次挑战的朋友，请只提交最佳记录的视频。

允许使用YouTube以外的视频网站，但请务必使用可在全球任何地方查看的视频网站。

评委

参加本次比赛而在所有参赛者中以最快通关的朋友将成为得奖者。

DISCORD

在Blastmode Discord的#speedrunning频道中分享快走、技巧、策略和投放一些speedrun视频。开发者也非常乐意回答您通过Discord频道提出的任何问题。

基本资讯

  • 比赛开始时间∶ 北京时间2021年6月5日上午9时
  • 作品截止日期∶ 北京时间2021年6月29日上午9时
  • 优胜者将在7月份通过社交媒体中宣布得奖名单
  • 请注意：Blastmode丶MP2 Games和AGM/Playism的现有合作伙伴丶承包商和员工均没有参加本次比赛的资格。

大赛奖品

本次比赛将挑选1名大奖得主而已。

  • 大奖得主奖品：Nintendo Switch本体一台并加上《暴走大鹅》Switch Key一份。

启用快速通关游戏Build方法

快速通关游戏Build是Steam Beta的分支。请按如下指示激活快速通关分支：

  1. 先到Steam库
  2. 右击游戏並选择“属性”
  3. 在窗口中选择BETAS
  4. 从菜单中拉下并选择speedrun build
  5. 关闭窗口，等待Steam将游戏更新为speedrun版本

注意：如果想游玩本作的正式完整版游戏，请购买后如上述的次序，请到BETAS菜单中拉下后选择“无”。

注意事项

  • 奖品可以安排运送到欧盟、美国、日本、中国和韩国。
  • 参赛者必须年满18岁方可参加。在法律上要求父母或监护人同意才能参加的地区，做任何申请时都必须在征得同意后才可提交。
  • 视乎参赛者的地方、州和/或国家法律，年龄和居住地区将设有进一步的限制。
  • 如果法律和/或限制阻止主办方将奖品发送给得奖者，AGM/Playism、Blastmode或MP2游戏均不承担任何责任。
